Sometimes the best partnerships happen when two small businesses come together with a shared passion for creating something they genuinely love.

That’s exactly what happened with The Tallow Spot and Function Coffee Co.

We’re so excited to introduce our newest collaboration: Function Coffee Co. Tallow, made with locally roasted beans from our friends at Function Coffee Co.

Coffee Isn’t Just for Your Morning Cup

If you’re anything like us, coffee is part of the daily routine. There’s something special about that first cup in the morning the smell of freshly roasted beans, the rich aroma, and that little moment of quiet before the day begins.

So we started wondering: what if we could bring some of that coffee experience into skincare?

Coffee contains naturally occurring compounds, including antioxidants and caffeine, that have made coffee a popular ingredient in skincare. Caffeine is commonly used in cosmetic products designed to help improve the appearance of puffiness and tired-looking skin, while coffee's antioxidant compounds can help protect against environmental stressors.

We wanted to create a tallow that wasn't just inspired by coffee but one that actually featured real, locally roasted coffee beans.

A Local Collaboration

That’s where Function Coffee Co. came in.

Function Coffee Co. is a local coffee company that roasts its own beans in Justin, TX, and we knew their coffee would be the perfect addition to this project.

Rather than using a generic coffee fragrance or flavoring, we wanted to incorporate their Brainstorm Beans into our skincare. The result is a rich, coffee-infused tallow with the nourishing qualities of our grass-fed, grass-finished beef tallow and the unmistakable character of locally roasted coffee.

It’s a collaboration that brings together two things we love: local businesses and thoughtfully made products.
